Entertainer Profile: Butta-B
Butta-b is a talented writer/reggae artist, originally from Kingston, Jamaica. At an early age Butta-b began laying down catchy hooks with hard overtones and a laid-back delivery. Butta’s inspiration comes from the harsh realities of the Kingston streets and everyday life abroad. Butta-b has performed at different venues throughout Texas, including clubs such as Nairobi, Palm Beach, Tomcats, and Gypsy Tearoom.
Butta’s highly anticipated debut album “Diversified” — featuring Gladstone, Mista, King Ashoka and others — is soon to be released and will have you nodding your head and swaying your hips to these cool sounds.
In addition to being a finalist on 97.9 The Beat’s “Making the Group,” Butta is
- featured on Colby Savage and King Ashoka’s new album and the compilation album “See You At the Top” (Guerra Records; Producer B-war) — in stores now
- collaborating with other artists such as Kottonmouth, Young Pigg, and Mecat

Butta’s tracks “Against the Wall” & “Pon di Dance Floor” were recently featured on BET’s “Ya Heard.” He can also be heard on mix tapes throughout the DFW metroplex as well as on Dallas’ own 89.3 fm where his singles “Seen it All,” “Against the Wall,” and “To My Surprise,” featuring producers B-war, Fat-boy, Big Phazz and others, are heard.
