Featured Athlete: Lela V. Nelson

The 2008 indoor track season got off to an explosive start for Lela V. as she improved her personal best in the long jump while defeating the Heptathlon Olympic Champion, Carolina Kluft of Sweden. Lela V. also realized another one of her goals when she was selected to represent the USA at the 2008 IAAF World Championships in Valencia, Spain. This accomplishment was the first step towards her goal of being part of the US contingent to the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Outdoor season is now here and she is poised to reach her goal as she prepares for the US Olympics Trials to be held in Eugene, Oregon from June 27 until July 6, 2008.
