Personal: Sherlenia was born on March 22, 1985 in Rockford, Illinois and started running at the tender age of 7. Shell is new to the hurdle events but has shown tremendous progress and would like to be ranked in the top 10 in the world in both the 400m hurdles as well as the 100m hurdles. She has completed her Masters from Virginia Tech in Health Education and once she is finished with her track exploits, she will work with corporations to help them keep their employees healthy and productive.
